The Update

Thanks Ish for passing on I View, and also for pointing out a few areas that i must improve on. Whilst im on the topic have you got any other ideas on what we can do to make this blog ‘BOOM’ :-). I need something lol.

You ever watch Seinfeld? i was thinking about an episode called ‘The Interview’ and thats how i thought of the Title lol. As you can tell this post is pretty much an update/ideas post so we can discuss any thoughts on the blog.

So Sha and Ish please help me with some new ideas that we can put in place, maybe a blog make over or maybe trying to find a few more Authors for Thoughts & Opinions perhaps. So if you do know anyone who would be interested in joining Thoughts & Opinions let me know ok 🙂

9/11 Memorial Post

“Today we’ve had a national tragedy. Two airplanes have crashed into the World Trade Center in an apparent terrorist attack on our country.” –President Bush, September 11, 2001.

“On September 11, 2001, beginning at about 8:45 in the morning, a series of terrorist attacks destroyed the twin towers of the World Trade Center and severely damaged the Pentagon. The disaster is so great that in New York we have as yet, two days later, only guesses about how many thousands of people perished when the WTC towers collapsed. Commercial airliners were hijacked and flown directly into the three buildings. The first crashed into the North tower at 8:45, and about 18 minutes later the second airliner hit the South tower. At about 9:40, a third airliner crashed into the Pentagon. At about 9:58, the South tower collapsed, followed by the North tower at 10:28.” — Roger Nelson, Director, GCP

Does everyone remember what they were doing when September 11 happened. The only reason i am writing this post is because i was watching a documentary on the American United Flight 93 that was hi jacked and crashed into an open field in Pennsylvania. The movie was called United 93.

Ever since this on September 11 2001 it has become a very close issue to me and i am always looking to read more into the issue even after 5 and a half years has gone. Here is a permanent online Memorial to all those who lost there lives on that terrible day.

A time line from the 11th of September to the 30th of September shows exactly what happened and the lead up to the war in Afghanistan.

When the plane hit the World Trade Center there was a face that was seen from the smoke, take a look and tell me what you think

 And taken from the World Trade Center wreck was a Cross found that was later taken on the 20th of June to the WTC ceremony

And the man that is responsible for all this Osama Bin Laden

Innovative Seat Belts!

I’m sorry I’m making posts at a very fast rate but I don’t know if I’ll get the time afterwards so here’s another one.I got this as a forwarded e-mail with a huge cc list.Anyway I think it’s hilarious.

Things we need to fix up…

…in this theme/template.

I don’t know why I’m making this a post altogether,it should have been an e-mail to Adam or something of that sort.Anyhow,I thought this would be better because the others could also comment about the things they think are faulty in the blog’s theme/template.

The first thing is the THS button under the affiliates in the sidebar.The length needs to be reduced because it’s clashing with the other part of the sidebar.

The second is the champagne picture of Alonso(or somebody) you’ve pasted in the “Formula One 2007 begins post”,Adam.That to needs to be decreased in length.

If you don’t have a program that could help you resize images and stuff,I’d suggest you download Irfan View which is a lightweight photo-editing software but extremely effective all the same.If you want to save yourself the trouble of doing this,tell me and I’ll do it for you.

Any other suggestions people?

What to do?

Now that Adam is back,I think Thoughts & Opinions will be back in action soon.Here’s my first return post in here.Actually I wanted to put it up on my own blog but sadly it’s become way too public for this post.There are certain friends who happen to know the URL and I don’t really want them to read this.Actually thinking,there isn’t any thought or opinion in this post but it’s the best I can come up with right now.

It’s been a week since school started and it’s my last year in school because by next year,I would be in college.It’s also the most critical year as people say because I have to give a number of entrance exams for entering into the elite institutes.I’m just building the platform for the story here so don’t run away thinking it’s about studies and school.So since I have to give these entrance exams,I was made to join a coaching centre which specializes in these in addition to school.I studied there last year as well.Now comes the real deal..

Last year,I used to really like one girl who also used to study here.You know how we guys are so I guess you’ll understand that we like a new girl almost every month.Anyway this girl,she was really pretty and stuff and I thought she seemed cool even though I never talked to her.There was also my best friend who’s this cool dude and all.It’s funny but we always like the same women and he being cool gets away with them all while I sit back and sulk.It’s happened atleast twice now and I feel like killing him sometimes.Anyhow I’d never do that because we’ve had good times together.So yeah,this girl was really popular and had atleast 6 guys behind her.She did chat a lot with one of them and the particular guy thought he was real lucky.However one fine day,she stopped talking to him altogether perhaps because something happened.I never really asked anyone because I didn’t want to be nosy in case she’d get to know.So now that she was “single” again,my friend started making his moves and by the end of the year,she was almost totally into him trying to strike conversations with him and he’d almost ignore her at times.I know he knew I was jealous and he’d always give me detailed descriptions of the conversations they had and I hated him for that.The guy always gets the best girls and then leaves them alone after sometime and they still like him madly.I don’t understand the logic or how he does it.I guess the capability to be able to flirt comes naturally and God totally forgot that part when he was making me.

Anyway,I put that year behind and went back to the classes.My best friend wasn’t there with me this time because he’s going to another city apparently because he doesn’t want to be under his parent’s supervision.I feel scared to think what all he’ll do to the girls in the new city lol.So I went back and on the first day scanned the crowd around me for potential friends and hot girls.Every guy is the same so don’t you dare judge me.There was one girl who looked nice.But she came in with a guy.They come together each morning,go back together too.Either he’s her brother or he’s the boyfriend because he keeps sticking to her all the time.He always sits on the bench exactly ahead of her and they keep passing each other smiles and I as usual,keep sulking.I don’t know what I should do now.I don’t want to use a cheesy pick up line because a) it’s been only three days since I first saw her. b) there’s already that guy and there’s chance that he’d smack me right in the face and it won’t matter if he’s the brother or the boyfriend,I’d get kicked anyway and c) because she seems the kind that’d give me a brutal and witty reply much like the one’s Sha has listed here.I don’t know what to do and even if you suggest anything,I’d probably not do it because I’m way too paranoid and shy.Not everyone gets to be a flirt after all.This world would be incomplete without losers like me!

I guess all that was pretty lame but well,atleast it’s something! It’s time for you guys to make your comeback posts now and I hope you’ll do better than me 😉

Formula 1 2007 Season Has Began

I dont think i have told you this before but i am a massive Formula 1 fan. I only wish i could call this the official Formula 1 blog, maybe i should look into that a bit more lol.

So as you can see by the title the formula 1 season has already started, the Australian Formula 1 was only a week ago today and i was loving every minute of it. Before i go any further i must say that the Best Driver in the F1 world is Fernando Alonso without a doubt winning the Drivers Championship in 2005 and 2006.

And with his latest move to Mclaren the best team in the Formula 1 i am over the moon.

The Melbourne Grand Prix with race day on the 18th of March, Kimi Räikkönen was the pick of the day in this new team Ferrari clocking Pole Position and winning the race 7.2 seconds behind raining World Champion Fernando Alonso’s Mclaren. But the top story from the weekend was the new Lewis Hamilton starting in his first formula 1 season in the Mclaren finishing 3rd.

I know that this was a brief wrap up of the opening race but i had to get the season to a start a i will be sure to write more in detail about all the races to come.

So with the sad news that i can not make this the official Formula 1 blog i will be sure to make it as official as i can, bringing the latest race news and up to date information on coming racing.

Aussies Win !

Well what can i say ish and sha . . . . apart from Common Aussies !!!

The first-round match between South Africa and Australia look to be a one sided match when Australia scored 377 in the first 50 overs with Mathew Hayden scoring the fastest World Cup hundred in only 68 balls, also Michael Clarke with 92 and Ricky Ponting scoring 91.

South Africa started well lead by Graeme Smith 74 and AB de Villiers 92 with Jacques Kallis scoring 48 to put South Africa in a very good position going into the last 20 odd overs.

But the Australian bowling attack of old was back cleaning up the tail end for only 23 runs. With Andrew Symonds back in the team the Australians are looking even better.

It’s Been A While But Im Back

Well its been about 4 months and finally i am back. I am sorry about not updating my blog at all for the past few months, but the story is i moved houses interstate and bloody telstra took this long to get my phone line connected . . .

Well i thought i would just write a quick post to tell everyone that i am back blogging and i look forward to blogging with my fellow writers.
